Richard Russell Riordan Jr., an American author, initially started his career as a guitarist but later pursued English and history. He continued as a teacher for a couple of years before transitioning to writing novels. Percy, Annabeth, and Grover are all set to complete their pet sitting assignment, but Grover’s curiosity and mischievous behavior lead him to wander around Hecate’s palace, poking and touching divine artifacts despite being explicitly warned not to. He escapes and stumbles upon an old lady named June. June gives him a choice: he can carry her to Camp Jupiter across the highway and Little Tiber to regain his memory and, eventually, save the world, or he can retreat to the safety of the sea and live a long, happy life. Percy chooses to carry her across the river, losing the Curse of Achilles as a result, making him vulnerable once again. Will he save the world or is it a dead end for him!
3. THE MARK OF ATHENA (#3) (2012)

If they can battle their way through the Gaea’s forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea.
But if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape! They have no other options. If the demigods don’t succeed, Gaea’s forces will never die. They are running out of time. Kane Chronicles Series (3 Books)
In contrast to the Percy Jackson series and the Heroes of Olympus series, which are based on Greek and Roman mythology, The Kane Chronicles focuses on Egyptian mythology, depicting Egyptian gods and their roles in society.
Carter and Sadie are siblings who have grown apart after their mother’s death. One day, their father, Mr. Kane, brings them together for an experiment with Egyptian artifacts. However, the experiment goes awry, and he accidentally unleashes the Egyptian god Set. Set banishes Mr. Kane to oblivion, forcing Carter and Sadie to flee for their lives. Soon, they discover that the gods of Egypt are real, and they must understand this new reality while working to stop Set from destroying the world.
The first book is followed by another adventure in the second installment, The Throne of Fire. In this book, the sibling duo battles the chaos snake Apophis with help from Ra. But first, they must search the world for the three sections of the Book of Ra and learn how to chant its spells. Oh, and did we mention that no one knows exactly where Ra is?
The Serpent’s Shadow is the third and final book in the series. The gods are disappearing, and those that remain are weak.
