Guidelines: awarded annually for a first-edition collection written in, or translated into, English by a living poet from any country, including Canada.

1. a book of poetry must be a first-edition collection (i.e. not previously published in any country), written in English, or translated into English, by a poet/translator from any part of the world, including Canada.
2. Only one title per author or translator may be entered for the current year.
3. No self-published book is eligible.
4. Chapbooks are not eligible.

Prize: C$130,000 and the other shortlisted poets each receive C$10,000.

Deadline: October 12, 2025

Guidelines:

1. Accept up to 5 poems in whichever format fits, but no more than five pages in all
2. open to hybrid poetry pieces that include visual and written elements.
3. submit in only one category, and once per submission period.
4. Only accept submissions written in English, or that are translated to English.
5. Do not submit previously published work
